Messages can be rejected for a wide variety of reasons! Our current system works in the following way :
A client notifies a handful of petsitters.
Interested petsitters accept the request (but not a booking)
The client and the petsitters can freely talk on the holidog mailing system
The client books the petsitter they want to meet face to face, paying a subscription, which releases the contact details of the petsitter
Therefore, trying to meet before booking or sharing personal details are not permitted.
The most common reasons for message rejection are:
- Inappropriate or insulting content,
- Email address
- Home Address
- Full Name
- Precise details or intention to meet at a specific location before booking
- Sharing details of other social media accounts (e.g. Facebook name, Twitter username etc)
- Phone number
- Words such as 'Facebook' are automatically filtered out of messages
If any of this information was present, our system has probably blocked the message or edited out the text that breaches the terms.
If you feel as though your message was rejected in error, contact Mary - our customer service manager - at mary@holidog.com (for the UK) , emma@holidog.com (for Australia) , zoe@holidog.com (for New Zealand).
